Usually when our workdays end there is some time in between before arriving at home and starting family life because of commuting. These moments in between can give us time to unwind, to shift our focus from work to family life or to just have a minute to ourselves.
Imagine what it would feel like if you could get through the morning rush hour with less stress, less arguments with your children and enough time to do what you need to do in the morning
Why do we need to talk to our children about difficult subjects?
Simple because it gives children a sense of security. Children are experts in picking up signals from parents when there is something going on.
Taking notice of behaviour we like is an important step in dealing with undesirable behaviour and to stimulate new behaviour. If you encourage the behaviour you like, the chances are bigger this behaviour will happen again.
If your expectations are too high, disappointment can be close. Making realistic expectations as a parent is important because it will help you feel more confident in your parenting skills and your ability to balance work/life.
This week’s tip is to have plenty of interesting things to do at home. Children who have things to do are less likely to misbehave or to get bored and are more likely to play and stay busy.
A family plan of action can help to bring some balance in your household, give children a sense of security and will help you as a parent to work from home and to relax.
